Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development
Information about MNPRO
|
Background
The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development has partnered for
years with communities to develop and provide Community Profiles as a marketing
and informational tool to site selectors and businesses looking to locate or expand
in Minnesota. In 1990, the Department (known then as 'Trade and Economic Development')
created its first automated property tracking system. Business Development
Office staff performed searches through a network-based application of hundreds
of properties following business clients' individual site location needs.
In 1997, Community Profiles were made available on MNPRO, thus allowing site visitors
to also conduct detailed searches of a community's infrastructure to help match
up even further their specific location needs.
Purpose
The need for a website was identified through extensive meetings with Minnesota's
economic development and real estate professionals. The result is MNPRO, www.mnpro.com, a one-stop informational resource
offering available industrial and office buildings along with land sites for sale
or lease in Minnesota while also providing detailed information on economic development,
demographics, and infrastructure data for its communities.
Meeting the Goal
MNPRO offers many features that benefit users in seeking, selling, or leasing commercial
property in Minnesota. The site's integration with Community Profiles provides
users with valuable site location information on Minnesota cities. Users are
able to independently enter and update available Minnesota commercial properties
as an ongoing promotional activity. Property listings are assured accuracy
by an automated email notification system. It has never been easier to market
Minnesota cities and commercial properties. We welcome you to join us, whether
adding your city's best business incentives or local commercial land and buildings
or as a corporate site selector looking to locate a business in Minnesota.
